Dia de los Muertos

This time last year I was lucky enough to be in Mexico for the annual Day of the Dead festivities. It wasn’t just a jolly (though it mostly was) but also research for the third ‘Phantoms Inc’ book. I ended up rewriting the last quarter having experienced the event, and hopefully it gave the story a bit of the flavor, colour and chaos of Oaxaca.

Sian and I were enjoying cocktails in a bar just off the town square when a dapper man with attack eyebrows walked past followed by a film crew. "

“Is that Eugene Levy?” Sian asked, and indeed it was! He was in Oaxaca in town to film an episode of his highly enjoyable series ‘The Reluctant Traveler’, where he visits a location on his bucket list. In my mind Mr Levy was in Oaxaca at the same time as Conner and Marshall.

The episode - the first one in the third series - is well worth a watch.
